JAKARTA—PT Teladan Prima Agro Tbk (TLDN) organized an "Innovation & Continuous Improvement Awareness" workshop on Friday, August 9, 2024—to foster employee collaboration through various innovations that benefit individuals and the company.

The workshop featured Suradi, the Chairman of the Indonesian Quality Management & Productivity Association (AMMPI), as the keynote speaker. Suradi shared several tips on cultivating innovation among employees, emphasizing that creating Innovation and Continuous Improvement Awareness within a company requires three key elements.

First, the Quality Control Project (QCP) is a small group that ensures that every innovation meets the company's predetermined standards and criteria. Second, the Quality Control Circle (QCC) is a team of 3-10 members from various divisions working together to develop ideas and suggestions for company improvements. Third, activities that enhance innovation within the corporate culture reduce costs, and boost workplace productivity are essential for sustaining continuous improvement.

"Innovation undertaken by employees must use problem-solving methodologies tailored to their needs, so there must be a solid foundation. The innovation and continuous improvement carried out by employees can certainly be considered by management in career advancement and in awarding recognition and similar incentives," said Suradi.

Suradi further explained that "Innovation & Continuous Improvement Awareness" within a company can benefit individuals by serving as a platform for achieving success through creativity and teamwork, learning organizational skills, personal development, and self-promotion.

Moreover, this initiative also benefits the company by developing human resources, improving company performance, building a better work culture, enhancing quality and creativity, and strengthening the corporate image.

To realize "Innovation & Continuous Improvement Awareness," TPA is currently holding the Teladan Innovation & Improvement Awards (TIIAs), launched on May 24, 2024. TPA management conducted socialization of TIIAs to employees from July 15 to August 1, 2024, with a project submission deadline of August 31, 2024.

Eko Dermawan, Head of the Operations Improvement & Research Division at TPA, stated that TIIAs aim to enhance human resource capabilities, drive innovation, reward and recognize achievements, improve business performance, and develop employees' knowledge and talents.

"The goal of the innovations in TIIAs is to implement an adaptive and competent culture in line with the values of TELADAN. All TPA employees, both staff and non-staff, are encouraged to participate. We are targeting 70 proposals to be submitted from operational and supporting divisions," Eko Dermawan said at the same event.
