JAKARTA – PT Teladan Prima Agro Tbk (TLDN), through its subsidiaries, has once again received the National-level Certificate of the Corporate Performance Rating Program in Environmental Management (PROPER) for the 2023–2024 evaluation period. The award was issued by the Minister of Environment/Environmental Management Agency of the Republic of Indonesia (BPLH) through the Directorate General of Pollution and Environmental Damage Control on Tuesday, May 27, 2025.

TLDN earned this National PROPER certificate through to the hard work of three of its subsidiaries, which operate palm oil processing mills in East Kalimantan (Kaltim), namely:

PT Tanjung Buyu Perkasa Plantation (Talisayan Mill)

PT Telen Prima Sawit (Muara Bengkal Mill)

PT Telen (Pengadan Baay Mill and Bukit Permata Mill)

These three subsidiaries achieved the Blue Rating in the National PROPER, which is awarded to companies that have fulfilled the required environmental management standards in accordance with applicable regulations.

For reference, the National PROPER awards are based on the Minister of Environment/Head of the Environmental Management Agency of the Republic of Indonesia's Decree Number 129 of 2025, concerning the Results of the Corporate Performance Rating in Environmental Management for the Year 2023–2024.

TLDN Corporate Secretary Arya Wibisana stated that the company will continue striving for improve its PROPER performance by implementing the principles of good governance—transparency, fairness, accountability, and public engagement—in its environmental management practices.

"We are grateful for the 2023–2024 National PROPER award granted by the Minister of Environment/BPLH to TLDN's subsidiaries. This recognition is the result of the hard work of all employees, especially those in our palm oil mill subsidiaries. The National PROPER award motivates us to continue prioritizing environmental management in our operations," Arya said.

Arya further added that TLDN consistently upholds the pillars of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) to ensure transparency, accountability, and integrity in every business process. Moreover, TLDN remains committed to sustainable palm oil management in accordance with established standards.

Previously, in June 2024, six palm oil mills from five of TLDN’s subsidiaries received the East Kalimantan Provincial PROPER certification for the 2023–2024 period with Green ratings, including:

PT Tanjung Buyu Perkasa Plantation (Talisayan Mill)

PT Telen Prima Sawit (Muara Bengkal Mill)

PT Telen (Pengadan Baay Mill and Bukit Permata Mill)

PT Multi Jayantara Abadi (Tanjung Harapan Mill)

PT Cahaya Anugerah Plantation (Feliza Mill)

On another front, TLDN's commitment to environmental management is evident in its efforts to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. By the end of last year, TLDN successfully reduced Scope 1 GHG emission intensity by 8,580 tons of CO₂ equivalent, through technology-based mitigation programs, renewable energy utilization, and energy efficiency initiatives across all operational units.

Additionally, in Q4 of 2024, TLDN began operating a biogas power plant (BPP) that utilizes palm oil mill effluent (POME) to generate renewable energy. The energy produced by the BPP is used to power the nearby kernel crushing plant (KCP) and employee facilities in the operational area.

"The establishment of the BPP is a strategic step for TLDN in supporting the long-term transition toward green energy. This initiative not only reduces methane gas emissions but also improves energy efficiency and decreases dependence on fossil fuels," Arya stated.
