SAMARINDA – All palm oil mills owned by the subsidiaries of PT Teladan Prima Agro Tbk or TPA have successfully received the 2025 Occupational Safety and Health (K3) or Zero Accident Award from the Provincial Government of East Kalimantan. The recognition was presented to the subsidiaries during the 2025 East Kalimantan Provincial Occupational Safety and Health Awards Ceremony, held on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at the Plenary Hall Sempaja, Samarinda, East Kalimantan.
The 2025 Zero Accident award was granted in recognition of the subsidiaries’ success in implementing effective OHS programs in their palm oil mill operations throughout the period January 2020/2021 to December 2024. As a result, all subsidiaries achieved a zero-work-accident record. The following are the TPA subsidiaries that received the 2025 Zero Accident Award:
PT Tanjung Buyu Perkasa Plantation – Talisayan Mill
PT Telen – Pangadan Baay Mill and Bukit Permata Mill
PT Telen Prima Sawit – Muara Bengkal Mill
PT Cahaya Anugerah Plantation – Feliza Mill
PT Multi Jayantara Abadi – Tanjung Harapan Mill
In implementing its OHS principles, TPA and its subsidiaries have adopted the Occupational Safety and Health Management System (SMK3) in accordance with prevailing regulations. SMK3 aims to enhance the effectiveness of planned, measurable, structured, and integrated occupational safety and health protection. It also seeks to prevent and reduce workplace accidents and occupational diseases by involving management, employees, and labor unions to create a safe, comfortable, and efficient workplace that drives productivity.
To further optimize the implementation of SMK3, TPA—through all its subsidiaries—has established Occupational Health and Safety Committees (P2K3) inevery operational unit. Each P2K3 comprises the operational unit head, an OHS expert who serves as the committee secretary, and employee representatives as members. Through P2K3, employees can voice suggestions, feedback, and opinions related to OHS matters to management. P2K3 serves as one of the key implementations of SMK3, encompassing participation from all employees.
Meanwhile, Rozani Erawadi, Head of the East Kalimantan Provincial Manpower and Transmigration Office (Disnakertrans), expressed his appreciation to all companies that have successfully implemented OHS programs. He stated that the presentation of OHS Awards is part of the local government’s efforts to promote a strong culture of occupational safety and health through improved performance, positive competition, and reduced workplace accident risks.
“The ultimate goal is to create a safe and healthy work environment that improves workers’ quality of life through achieving zero work accidents. We hope this award serves as motivation to continuously strengthen the OHS culture in every workplace,” said Rozani, as quoted from rri.co.id, Tuesday (November 11, 2025).
